material master with price control indictor "S"- one have to enter the price

Question: Dear All,

In material master with price control indictor "S"- one have to enter the price.Here even we enter rs1 the system accepts but this practice can lead
to wrong calculation in subsequent entries as all the ubequent entries will be made with rs1


Is it possible to stop postings for material with price indictor "S" unless the standard cost estimate is released.

You can block the material by changing the plant specific status of the costing view so that the material cannot be used.

Set up a CO validation. If the tran code is MB11 or MB1A, etc. and the price control = S, then put in a check for STPRS = 0. When true, issue an error and a message "No GR without a standard cost" or whatever.
