"Fixed decimal" in financial data entry

Question: Hi there

Does anyone know wheter it is possible to set up a user in SAP to enable
"fixed decimal" in financial data entry? so entries such as 12.45 can be entered as 1245.

In ABAP program attribute, there is an option "Fixed point arithmetic", what does this for?

Thank you.

could you be more specific about what you are trying to achieve? you can set the number of decimal places per currency in config, eg japanese yen have no decimal places. but this is a kind of hack because sap still stores the numbers as if they had dps, but upscales them when outputting.

fixed point arithmetic refers to the technical method of numerical calcs (see help on the field for an explanation)

Thank you all for your kindly reply.

In Excel, it is possible via Tools/options/Edit/Fixed decimal to enable 'Fixed decimal', so that for entries such as 12.34, you can enter as 1234.

What I am trying to achieve is to do something similar in SAP. So that for entries such as 1234 / 3446, SAP will treat it as 12.34 / 34.46.

Is it possible to do so in SAP ?

How to use Su01 to achieve this? All I can find in Su01 is to set up the decimal notation, this is not what I want.
