"IBAN number is incorrect"
Question: Hi,
in TAC xk02 I try to enter an IBAN-number for a hungarian vendor. I get the following error message "IBAN number is incorrect" (Message no. BF00 009).
The vendor tells me that the IBAN he told me is correct so in my eyes it has to be a sap-problem.
Any suggestions?
Regards + thanks

Answer:
As I saw earlier, IBAN is checked and automatically generated by OpenFI modules, in "Partner" part of OpenFI. So, go to TCode FIBF and try to find the function module there which checks IBAN for Hungary. Then I recommend you to ask your counterpart to send you the rules of IBAN creating for Hungary. The last step, check logic of Function module and logical rules in the description.
The fastest way is to switch of the message or delete Function module in FIBF.
Answer:
The correct length should be 28. You can check it for every country at www.ecbs.org
Answer:
a common problem is that the IBAN quoted by the vendor does not include trailing zeroes, but SAP insists on these. so as per previous message check the length and pad if necessary
