SAP Finance Run Time (position plan for a financial year)

Use

You use this function if a budget structure element (BS element) should have a different validity period than the financial year of the position plan.

Prerequisites

This function is only relevant for BS elements that belong to a position plan with financial year.

Features

If it is known when an overall budget or BS element is created that this object will only exist for a specific time period (for example funds from secondary sources), you can assign a runtime to the object.

Rules for FTE budget can also be defined from the financial year, for example lock rules.

During a budget update to the next financial year, the system evaluates the runtime and takes it into account in the update. You can find more information under Carryforward of Overall Budget.

Activities

To assign a runtime to a BS element choose the following from the SAP Easy Access screen Human Resources ® Personnel Management ® Position Budgeting and Control ® Personnel Budget Plan Management ® Position Plan ® Change and then click on the tab page Basic Data.
