SAP Finance Rules Used for FTE Budgets

Use

You use this function if you can see from the structure of the personnel budget plan that the financing requirements of positions or persons are going to change in the future. The rules for budgets contain budgeting rules and reclassification rules. They can only be defined for budget structure elements (BS elements) whose budget is managed in full-time equivalents.

Features

Budgeting rules cause a reduction of the budget available in budget structure elements. You can find more information under Budgeting Rules.

Reclassification rules are used to change the classification (assignment to a particular salary group) of a full-time equivalent. You can find more information under Reclassification Rules.

If a rule for FTE budgets should be listed in the explanations of budget and position plans, you have to flag it as an external budgeting rule.

You can continue to edit rules for FTE budgets after saving, change administration data, delimit the rule, or delete it completely.

If a BS element has rules for FTE budgets, they are displayed in the overview area of Processing of Position Plans of the column Budgeting Rule or Reclassification Rule. The number of internal and external rules is displayed.

Activities

To use define a rule for FTE budgets for a BS element, choose the following from the SAP Easy Access screen: Human Resources ® Personnel Management ® Position Budgeting and Control ® Personnel Budget Plan Management ® Position Plan ® Change and then click on the tab page with the rule you want to use.
